MLOps Engineer job in London| Contract Role – £60-80p/h (Outside IR35)
Hexwired has partnered with a company who are a specialised software development firm. They are looking for a skilled and experienced MLOps Engineer in London who will bridge the gap between machine learning, R&D and operational deployment.
This is a hands-on infrastructure role requiring someone comfortable with distributed training pipelines, model optimisation, containerised deployments, and production monitoring.
Key skills required for this MLOps Engineer job:
- Strong Python software engineering skills, with experience developing REST APIs (FastAPI, Flask, or Django), Linux administration, shell scripting, relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL), and best practices including Git, testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.
- Hands-on MLOps experience, including ML experiment tracking and model registries, containerisation with Docker, distributed training, model optimisation for inference, and monitoring/observability tools.
- Solid understanding of machine learning and deep learning workflows (PyTorch preferred), including computer vision, GPU/CUDA environments, and deploying production AI systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance
