Microservice Architect job in UAE – £65k to £90k
We are seeking an experienced Senior Microservices Architect to lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable microservices architectures for advanced Software-Defined Radio (SDR) and communication systems.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of cloud-native software, RF engineering, and cybersecurity, delivering next-generation solutions in a high-impact, mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement microservices architectures for SDR and RF-based systems
- Develop secure, scalable, and resilient distributed systems
- Lead API design, system integration, and event-driven architectures
- Integrate signal processing and waveform capabilities into software platforms
- Define containerisation and CI/CD strategies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Ensure high performance, fault tolerance, and real-time processing
Essential Skills & Experience
- 8–10+ years in software engineering, with strong microservices architecture experience
- Proficiency in Java and/or Python
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and DevOps practices
- Experience with RF systems, DSP, or Software-Defined Radio (SDR)
- Knowledge of containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Familiarity with security standards and secure system design
