Electronics Design Engineer job in Milton Keynes – DOE
Hexwired have partnered with an exciting multi-national electronics manufacturer in the Milton Keynes area who are looking for an Electronics Design Engineer to join their R&D team. They are looking for someone with over 5 years of experience of electronic design for analogue and digital circuitry, as well as someone with experience in the use of OrCad or Altium.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and layout of analog and digital electronic circuits, including creating and managing component libraries for schematic symbols and footprints.
- Collaborate with team members to define PCB layouts, interfaces, and interconnections.
- Prepare technical documentation, such as PCB fabrication and assembly drawings, bills of materials, and manufacturing files.
- Work closely with external suppliers to support PCB assembly and address manufacturing challenges.
- Conduct product testing for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), including coordinating with test labs to finalise plans, oversee compliance testing, and resolve issues.
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in electronics, electrical engineering, or a closely related field.
- Over 5 years of experience in electronics and multilayer PCB design in a professional setting.
- At least 2 years of recent experience using advanced PCB design tools such as Altium Designer or Cadence OrCAD/Allegro.
- Proficiency in high-speed digital design and knowledge of up-to-date technological trends.
- Strong understanding of signal integrity, stack-up design, impedance control, ESD mitigation, and EMC compliance for PCBs.
