Infrastructure Engineer job in Southampton – DOE
Hexwired has partnered with a leading company in the networking solutions sector. They are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer who will focus on the installation, configuration and maintenance of the full range of physical and virtual infrastructure. This will involve on-site equipment and systems with a cloud-based element.
The main responsibilities for the Infrastructure Engineer in Southampton are to balance product team requirements with infrastructure capacity, while supporting, maintaining, and enhancing on-premises infrastructure across its full lifecycle.
Key skills required for this Infrastructure Engineer job:
- Infrastructure & Platforms
- Linux administration (Ubuntu, Debian, Red Hat).
- Networking, virtualisation, and storage management.
- Automation & DevOps
- Infrastructure automation with Ansible and Terraform/OpenTofu.
- Jenkins administration and CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitoring & Scripting
- Monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, and Zabbix.
