Head of Operations – Oxford – £65k
Hexwired Recruitment is seeking an Operations Manager or Head of Operations to oversee all facets of our manufacturing operations. This role involves orchestrating and executing a transition from low-volume batch production to high-volume manufacturing. By spearheading process enhancements and pinpointing technical and operational optimisations, you will be instrumental in driving and facilitating this transformation to meet our growing demands.
Key skills required for this Head of Operations Job:
- A seasoned manager with a background in volume manufacturing within the regulated sector
- Proficient in leading a manufacturing team that adheres to regulated quality standards
- Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting deadlines
- Possesses the knack for devising innovative solutions when confronted with challenges
- Holds prior experience in expanding facilities to cater to high-volume clientele from inception
- Effective communication skills across all organisational levels, with the ability to serve as the operational liaison and influence or present to customers
- Proven expertise in fostering the growth, motivation, and leadership of personnel
- Demonstrates commercial acumen in the critical management of costs and the reduction of stock and supplier liabilities
- Previous involvement in implementing new products and advancements within a production environment
- Established ability to manage tasks and prioritise effectively to achieve optimal operational efficiency
- Knowledge or experience in wire bonding, composites, machined components, and forming processes would be advantageous.
