Hardware Engineer – Oxford – £65K – £70K 

Hexwired Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled Hardware Engineer to join our team. As a Hardware Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and certification of aerospace electronic systems. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to cutting-edge projects. 

you will report to the Hardware Team Lead and play a crucial role in providing support across various projects and teams. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and adhere to the DO-254 process, ensuring the delivery of compliant and certifiable designs. 

Key skills required for this Hardware Engineer Job: 

  • A degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering. 
  • Proven experience in DO-254 processes and procedures. 
  • Familiarity with AMC 20-152 and DO-254 standards. 
  • Knowledge and experience of applicable aerospace standards, such as SC-E19, SC-VTOL, ARP 4761, ARP 4754A, and IEC 62239-1 (ECMP). 
  • Experience in successfully guiding projects through the certification process. 
  • Proficiency in designing DAL-A/B hardware solutions for simple and complex designs. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and documentation. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, promoting teamwork and project success. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-changing business environment. 
  • Flexible approach to work, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Willingness to travel as required to support project requirements.
