FPGA Engineer job in Hereford – D.O.E
Hexwired Recruitment is recruiting for innovative electronics manufacturer who are now seeking an FPGA Engineer.

As an FPGA Engineer, you will take on the responsibility of spearheading the advancement of embedded systems incorporating FPGA – System-on-Chip technology for a diverse selection of CEMA systems and applications. Drive projects from their inception, through the design and validation stages, to final deployment.
This position primarily revolves around the creation of novel products and concept prototypes, while also involving aspects of troubleshooting and enhancing existing offerings.
Key skills required for this Electronics Engineer Job:
- Demonstrated proficiency in FPGA design utilising VHDL, with the ability to seamlessly integrate and debug third-party design components written in Verilog, although prior Verilog design experience is not mandatory.
- Expertise in developing pipelined Digital Signal Processing blocks within FPGA architectures.
- Proficient in creating automated VHDL test benches to validate and verify designs.
- Skilled in debugging embedded systems encompassing hardware, software (processor), and firmware (FPGA) designs.
- Extensive experience in designing and integrating firmware for high-speed standards such as PCIe, JESD204B, 10GBASE-X, and 40GBASE-X.
- Familiarity with using digital hardware/firmware design testing equipment, including high-speed oscilloscopes and logic analysers.
- Capable of working effectively within a small, flexible, and dynamic team.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks.
- Exhibits energy, adaptability, enthusiasm, tenacity, and unwavering dedication.
- Possession of SC clearance or eligibility to obtain SC clearance is a prerequisite.
