Electronics Component Engineer – Oxford – £65k
Hexwired Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled Electronics Component Engineer to join one of the UK’s leading electronics manufacturers.
As an Electronics Component Engineer, you will offer assistance to various projects and teams as the authority on the choice and suitability of components for utilisation in aerospace applications
Key skills required for this Electronics Component Engineer Job:
- A degree or an equivalent qualification in a relevant field
- Demonstrated prior experience in supporting, writing, and managing hardware design processes
- Assuming responsibility for maintaining the component database
- Possessing a strong grasp of electronics hardware design principles and fundamentals
- Proficiency in electronics component-level development procedures
- Familiarity with component management encompassing processes, new component selection, existing component oversight, and addressing component obsolescence
- Knowledge of RoHS and REACH compliance, as well as expertise in both lead-free and leaded component requirements, particularly within the aerospace domain
- Understanding of Single Event Effects (SEE) related to components and strategies for SEE mitigation
- Acquaintance with relevant aerospace standards, with a preference for familiarity with standards such as D0-254 and AMC 20-152A, and knowledge of IEC 62239-1 (ECMP) and IPC standards, including IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC-D-279, and IPC-CM-770E.
