5 Things a Software Engineer CV should have


Software engineering jobs are currently in demand in the hiring market but what are the key elements that every software engineer CV should entail?


1. Personal statement

A strong personal statement is the best way to begin any software engineer CV. The personal statement sits just under your name and contact details. It should be around four to five lines with the purpose of demonstrating professional passion and highlighting specific skills tailored to the role of a software engineer. Remember to sound genuine instead of using CV cliches which are most likely to turn off hiring managers.
